Shumsky is Founded

Our story began in the 1950s when Hy Shumsky and his wife, Elsie, took a bold leap, founding Shumsky with just $50, a few catalogs, and unwavering determination. Hy’s hands-on approach to every order—from start to finish—established our enduring commitment to personalized service.

Jayne Emoff Miller Takes Ownership

1984
In 1984, Jayne Emoff Miller, daughter of Hy and Elsie, ushered in a new era of growth and innovation by purchasing the company alongside her son, Michael. With tenacious sales skills and exceptional creativity, Jayne redefined the business, championing white-glove service and transforming the promotional industry through invaluable relationships, making Shumsky a powerhouse in the field.

Michael Emoff Becomes Third-Generation Owner

Michael Emoff assumed majority ownership, marking the third generation of leadership in our family-owned business. Anita Emoff Becomes Majority Owner
